Your role
The Cross-Platform Reporter Program (CRP) recruits the top graduates from university journalism and communications programs across the country.
The Cross-Platform Reporter Program is a temporary position, consisting of six (6) weeks of classroom training given virtually followed by nine (9) weeks of work in one of Radio-Canada’s regional stations across the country, from Moncton to Vancouver.
Selected interns will receive the following:
The six-week curriculum includes modules on Journalistic Standards and Practices, writing for radio and television, digital editing and publishing, interviewing techniques, MediaCentral, Dalet and iNEWS software, live TV, iPhone reporting, grammar and style, and more.
You will be paired with a single Radio-Canada station for the duration of the program. The six (6) weeks of classroom training will take place at that station, as will the period of employment. Intern reporters will be gradually assigned independently and consolidate their learning in a realistic work environment.
Successful candidates will have a keen interest in news and current affairs, strong initiative and creativity, but above all the desire to tell stories. They are mobile and willing to work in their assigned region. They will receive compensation during the 15-week program.
